October 9, 2026 - Approximately $3.6 billion of Federal Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 regular block-grant funding has been released to all LIHEAP grantees. This funding release reflects 90 percent of the funds under the Continuing Resolution (CR) Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2027 (Pub. L. 119-103), which the President signed into law September 2, 2026. The funding was allocated using the annual updates to the LIHEAP allocation formula. Each grant recipient with an approved FY 2027 Model Plan will be able to access their Notice of Award (NOA) on Grant Solutions.
